  • In addition, at the initiative of the Ain CCI, the Rhone Alps CCIR has decided to create an Aeraulics, Refrigeration and Thermal (HVAC) Excellence Centre (Cluster) to focus the efforts of a score of the 70 local companies working in this sector. The launch meeting was held last July 6 at Saint Vulbas in the presence of Mr. R. Guyot, the Prefet of the Ain, Mr. J.P. Mauduy, President of the CCIR RA and Mr. J.M.Bailly, President of the Ain CCI. The objective of the HVAC Cluster is to create a centre of excellence in a catchment area with 35% of local sector manufacturers for whom the future is becoming increasingly difficult when competing with "low cost" countries. However, new standards and regulations for energy consumption, environmental protection, noise abatement and indoor ambience quality favour industrial innovation, as is the case at Managair.

Since the launch, we have participated in 3 work meetings and presented Managair during the meeting on November 18.

Four work groups were set up :

  • European Benchmarking

  • Technology watch - Rules and regulations watch / Grenelle II

  • Export

  • Training/HR/Skills
  •

Three other meetings are planned before this summer before making the final decisions concerning Cluster activities.
